a few essential oil blends

Sandalwood Rose Essential Oil Perfume

  • .35 oz (10 ml) vanilla-infused jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis)
  • 8 drops Sandalwood essential oil (Santalum paniculatum)
  • 2 drop Rose absolute (Rose damascena)

You can blend your vanilla-infused jojoba and essential oils right in the bottle. I like to add my essential oils one drop at a time to be sure I love the aroma. Then just snap the roller-top into place, and you can roll some of your perfume onto your wrists.

I keep my essential oil drop count low in roll-on perfume blends, because I’m not blending it into much jojoba.

If you want a little more room to play with your essential oil drops, you can make your perfume blend in a 1 oz (30 ml) bottle. Use about 30 drops of essential oil total. (I make my natural perfumes at about a 3–5% dilution. As we use so little and want the aroma to last for a few hours, this one is 5%). Then you can pour some of the oil from your 1 oz (30 ml) bottle right into the roller-top perfume bottle. Now when you run out of perfume you’ll have more in reserve!

Geranium Yuzu Perfume

  • 5 drops Geranium (Pelargonium roseum x asperum)
  • 5 drops Yuzu (Citrus junos)

Lavender Vetiver Perfume

  • 3 drops Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
  • 7 drops Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanoides)

I get roller-top bottles from Aromatics International.

crystals for each room of your life

Once you’ve decided on which crystals you want to display in each room of your home you need to decide how you want to display them in the room. There are many ways you can style them. Is you home full of succulents, plants and maybe even flower post? They blend beautifully with greener and florals in a pretty more discrete way!Add the crystals into the flower pots. There are many gorgeous display boxes you can purchase online which would make them a focal point. You can hang them from dream-catchers or as dangles off a hanging plant. You can place them in a bowl, or even a bowl of sea salt to help keep them cleaned and charged (do your research some stone get murky looking in salt), set them on a windowsill (best for pet and baby free homes). Slip them between your pillow and pillowcase, once again, pet free home idea. Put them above or in a decorative crafty way, on doors.

Negative energy needs to occasionally be cleaned and cleared off your crystals. Places where others share space with you, such as the office and spaces where you entertain guests, including the guest room, need to be cleared, cleaned, charged and intentions reset more often. The method you use for cleansing, depends on the crystal. Generally, your options are:

  • Smudging, passing them through sage or palo santo smoke.
  • Setting them on a Selenite Slab, to counter the negative energy absorbed by your crystals. Simply lay your crystals on top of the Selenite for at least six hours and you will draw out the negative energy.
  • Or, if they are hard crystals like quartz, you can soak them in purified water or salt water. Please do your research or message me concerning which crystals can go into water.
  • Charge them under moonlight (make sure it’s not going to rain, see above).
  • Charge them in sunlight. Please do your research or message me concerning which crystals can and cannot go into direct sunlight, some will fade the crystal color permanently!
