About Me And Running To Zen

My journey towards finding my zen, my balance in all aspects of my life. This blog started as a running blog. I so so much wanted to become a runner. But I never found happiness in running. Not as much as I did in hiking and yoga. But what running did do for me was show me my way back to the things that I had lost touch with, things that made me feel connected, excited and yet peaceful in my own existence. So the blog is evolving as I am evolving! Here you will find inspiration and motivation to find your own sense of zen in your life.

As A Human
I am a defender of kids and animals. Things that can’t defend themselves. Social injustice hurts my heart and I guess I’m usually guided by compassion. I’m an on again off again student of religion and mysticism. I believe adamantly seeking knowledge when it comes to politics and not just jumping on bandwagons. I feel nature is our most important resource and should be protected and cared for. I’m into science fiction and fantasy movies and have a love/hate relationship with books. I will either be devouring them or allowing them to get dusty on my shelves. I want to live by the ocean and mountains (hubby said we need to move to Hawaii)and hang out in corner coffee shops and talk to people about every topic under the sun and stars. But I hate small talk and I’m fines. I like diving in and seeing the soul of you and you of me. I love crystals and sea shells, forests and tall mountains. My soul could travel the world but my budget keeps me grounded at home.

As a Reiki/Crystal Healing Practitioner
Like many intuitives and empaths, I am exploring several different modalities when it comes to offering guidance, perspective and healing through reiki and crystals. I am a Usui Reiki Level 1 practitioner and will also have level 1 certifications in Holy Fire Reiki & Archangel Light Reiki  on April 28th 2019. As a lover of the energy of crystals I am working on certifications in crystal healing as well and should be certified by May 2019.

I’ve always been considered insightful and wise and feel it’s why I was put on this earth. To help people help themselves to find their way. I will be straight forward but I’m also nurturing and loving. I’m passionate about helping people heal and unlock their true potential; mind, body and soul. I’ve always been able to read the energy of people, the vibe they give off. And not just what’s on the surface, but I can intuitively see beneath the emotional layers. This is what an empath is. It’s taken me a long time to decide how best to utilize this gift of empathy. It’s not exactly a normal resume skill set. But Reiki and crystal healing called me to service.

I am clairsentient and empathic; meaning I not only have the ability to know what you are feeling, but I also feel what you feel as if it is happening to me. When doing a Reiki or Crystal healing session, I receive impressions and sensations via your energy and then I just amplify the energy and direct it so your mind and body can heal itself.

I utilize my best intuitive skills as a Reiki practitioner and soon will do the same with my crystal healing practice.

  1. I love the comments about stop blaming everyone and everything else – its time to take responsibility for ourselves. I have spent way too much time blaming traumas, jobs, parenthood, lack of time …. still currently working on how to get myself fit and healthy right now (am defiinitely not a runner, but have tried serious diet and gym together and that worked in the past!) – motivation is almost there again, trying on swimsuits this morning was appalling!!!

    1. 💙 Thank you! You know, I just started running and I don’t run well. After some years of heavy smoking my lungs took a beating. The best thing for me has been consistency with a mix of at home workouts, walk/run/walk and yoga with daily accountability + simple good nutrition. I like at home work out because I can do them anytime, anywhere (on demand) and I can look a hot mess if I want to lol.

  2. It is great to you lead active life. Unfortunately personally I hate running. I used to train it when I was a kid and since I left sports school I never tired it again. I do yoga instead 😀

  3. I’m so happy I found your blog! I couldn’t agree more about blaming others and comparison. The glass will always be half empty if we think this way. There will ALWAYS be someone who has what we want or who is doing “better” than us. The world will be a better place if we are happy for others, instead of jealous, and if we celebrate ourselves instead of comparing and putting ourselves down. You have a great attitude and I’m inspired by it. 😊
